Mizumi

new way of enjoying nature, 2019

Mizumi is a set of objects that give the interior a unique character by using natural light. Suspended, irregular panes of glass filled with water break the rays of the sun allowing the viewer to feel in the room as at the bottom of the sea. The reflections of light transmitted through the water dancing on the floor combine the dynamics of movement and the peace of the underwater world. As the time of day changes, the interior climate changes due to the unique effects created by wavy chiaroscuro.

Mizumi is inspired by Japanese ZEN gardens and just like they give you the opportunity to wind down. In an era of fast and intense life, when almost all people take part in the rat race, everyone needs a moment of contemplation and closeness to nature. Mizumi, through the light, introduces the eternally changing and soothing element of water into the room, which responds to the needs of the 21st century man who is constantly in motion.
